Guidelines for oral presentations

  • The language used for slide content and oral presentation is English (don’t be discouraged, this is your chance to improve your skills!)
  • The presentation files must be compatible with PowerPoint or PDF Each speaker is invited to upload the presentation file either by 6:00 p.m. of the previous day if presenting in the morning session or by 12:00 a.m. if presenting in the afternoon session.
  • The oral presentations should be no more than 9 minutes and 12 minutes (only invited speakers) long with an additional 3 minutes for questions.
  • Speakers should upload their presentation files via USB device and the files should be indicating the session abbreviation followed by the speaker’s name, e.g., “S1-Rossi.ppt.”
  • The presentation file can either be uploaded by the author who submitted the abstract or the designated presenting author of the abstract.
  • Speakers must be present in the room where the session to which their presentation is assigned at least 10 minutes before the session begins to meet with the Conveners. Staff personnel will be present in each room to provide assistance.

Poster presenter guidelines

  • The language used for poster contents is English.
  • The maximum size allowed and recommended for posters is A0 (118.9 cm high and 84.1 cm wide) with VERTICAL orientation.
  • Poster presenters are required to print their posters beforehand.
  • The conference program will include times in the day specifically dedicated to the discussion of posters. However, these will still be displayed and visible all day in the Poster area.
  • Each poster will be assigned a corresponding number that will be specified on the program and must be mounted on the panel on the day indicated in the program.
  • Presenters will be responsible for their poster during the entire time of the poster session. The Conference does not accept responsibility for any damage to posters during their exhibition.
  • Authors are required to be present at the dedicated times that will be indicated on the Timetable.
  • Staff personnel in the Poster area will assist authors in hanging up or taking off their posters.
